SC1254: Donnell Pitman & Wings of Sunshine - If You Believe In Magic 12"
Star Creature Records is proud to announce our continued partnership with Windy City Disco Royalty, Donnell Pitman as the legend enters his 7th decade in releasing underground soul music for the heads. The world has finally caught up to Chicago’s Chocolate Lover as he celebrates 10 years on Star Creature.

This new 12 " continues the trend of Donnell offering up summer anthems with 3 new original tracks produced with his band Wings Of Sunshine alongside Star Creature’s flagship in-house producer E. Live. Also included on the set are remixes from Brazil’s Donatinho, collaborator and son of legendary bossa nova jazzman João Donato and longtime Star Creature contemporary keys wizard Milrlaqi. This is a true worldwide effort with production sessions taking place in Chicago, Edinburgh, Las Vegas, Geneva, Berkeley and Rio De Janeiro.

The project opens with the E. Live produced, dance-floor sure-shot “Believe In Magic” original version followed by Donatinho’s pumped up Brazilian Boogie Remix. Two uptempo peak hour contemporary jammers that mix and match with any vibe from house to disco, beach to basement, penthouse to parkway. Speaking of parkways, you might have to pull over to fully appreciate the 2nd original, “Party In My Car” or risk getting frisked by the local law. This is Donnell’s ultimate tribute to letting you know, when you are rolling with him, the journey is the destination. This one includes a smacked-out space-jazz thumper from Switzerland’s Mirlaqi that will ditch the ride and step inside. The final track is an ode to those from the scene that are no longer with us and in appropriate fashion, we dance and cheers to the memories and remember the good times and “Don’t Forget the 21”

SC7092: Spaced Out Krew & Ghostape - Together / You Make Me Sweat
Star Creature is proud to welcome aboard a new collaboration between some of the globe’s heaviest funkers. French disco collective Spaced Out Krew (S.O.K.) and Geneva’s Ghostape have have teamed up for two sides of cosmonautical freaky mutant funk selected from vaults by label-head Tim Zawada. Drawing inspiration from the backroom and basement boogie bombs of yesteryear, the krew has assembled 2 giant cuts of bass heavy, booty shakers with a dangerous feeling twist, perfect alternative cuts to keep a set on the edge.
